Exploring Toledo

Toledo - once Spain’s capital - is a 2,000-year-old hilltop city where history, art, and culture all collide. Its winding cobblestone streets, sweeping river views, and gorgeous architecture are incredibly charming, and you can wander into a cathedral, grab wine at a tiny bar, browse handmade ceramics, and catch golden hour from a lookout…all in one afternoon.

Below is a small snapshot of some of our favorite spots to eat, drink, and explore, as well as some additional activities that have been highly recommended to us. You can browse through our full Toledo recommendations on our map here for more. Andddd, if you have a little extra time in Spain pre or post-wedding, Madrid is just an hour away and makes for an easy add-on (a map of our Madrid recommendations here). Other cities like Seville, Barcelona, or San Sebastián are always a great idea, too :)
